Another girl from Naruto for this afternoon's sketch? I wasn't intending to draw her, really I wasn't, but after I sketched out a pose she's the only one who I could think of on the spot.
Well I handed in my last animation revisions today so I now it's on to the next job. Thank you everyone at Studio B. Its a great studio to work for and I hope I have the opportunity to work with you all again some day. Until then I leave you with today's lunch time sketch.
Suitable for a late night tone job. The naruga set (minus the helm). Being Monday it seems I'm still drawing Monster Hunter. I took some time with this afternoon sketch as work is wrapping up.
It seems I've drawn this pose before but that's one of the reasons I'm doing all this. To expose my habits and move beyond.
I kinda got carried away with today's afternoon sketch. Inspired by comments from Capcom saying that Piracy was preventing a release of SSFIV on PC. Here be our lady of the spinning bird kick ready for piracy. (Though I think I kind of lost the pirate feel along the way)
lines sketchbookpro color photoshop edit: added legs and went with a patch instead of a peg leg
The goal of today's lunchtime sketch was something cute. I think I managed to skirt the edge of my goal again. I took a bit more time with my tones tonight, trying some stuff out.
Poke, poke, poke. Its Monday and time for some Monster Hunting. I kinda got carried away with this afternoon's sketch. I wanted to have ago at the empress set and a Lancer. The pose was good and I just kept cleaning it up.
Pirate Friday rolls round again and this time I got a pirate done for an afternoon sketch. No pirate in particular but I get the feeling she might not be a real pirate.
Pic in sketchbookpro, paper texture added in photoshop
Just a quick one for lunch today. I wanted to draw an old guy so I redid an old sketch I had in my sketchbook from Uni. Street fighter's Gen. not quite the old guy I had in mind I'm sure.
I wanted to try a little perspective today for an afternoon sketch. Ghost in the Shell's Major Kusanagi was on hand to help out. Thought I'd also give cell shading a bash while I was at it.
It wasn't as smooth sailing as I'd hoped it'd be :)
Whenever I hear the song " Wandering on a Sunny Afternoon" I have the urge to draw this guy. Lunchtime sketch is Zack Fair from Crisis Core. I loved this game
I woke up this morning and thought I'd just fix the face on the last sketch I did as I wasn't happy. I hadn't drawn Ai-chan for a while. Anyways one line led to another...
It's Friday after work but I just wasn't feeling the pirate vibe. Work is wrapping up in a few weeks and I'll be moving to a new studio soon so I've been thinking about the future. This daily sketching exercise has been giving me plenty of food for thought and its time to start exploring some options. Ai-chan here thinks so too.
For lunch today I wanted to try something different. I had the song pokerface in my head and this popped out. My take on Harley Quinn. Oh she looks happy.
Capcom's Ruby Heart revisited. During a couple of breaks I put down some color for her. Being that the lines where already pretty tight it went smoothly. Hair is definitely something I need to practice on
Pirate day rolls around again and I try to skim the definition :) This mornings sketch is a snow pirate from Capcom's Lost Planet. I'm pretty sure I could keep toning this pic this evening but I've got other stuff to do.
I wanted to have a go at coloring one of the sketches I've been doing. 2 and a half hours later I needed some sleep. It was nice to revisit the sketch, fix some things that where bugging me too much. I need more color practice though.
