Revisiting Oz

I did a quick sketch for this weeks theme and as I was uploading it I stumbled across a sketch from last year that I had played around with.

It's interesting how much my ideas on a theme vary over just a year

Race Day 2011

It's been I while since I drew Ai chan and I hadn't attempted drawing a full bike before. So after Frankensteining a bike out a couple of references I thought I'd have a go at Shigenori Soejima's style of shading.

The Grid girl someone's OC who I'd been meaning to get around to drawing. (She's not too helpful with that umbrella , is she?)

While the results are mixed but I'm pretty happy all round though I know I'll do better next time :)

Unicorn cheesecake

Something a little different.

A couple of fellows workers and I have gotten together [link] to attack a different drawing theme every week. 4 weeks in and this week's theme was unicorns...

I want to use the themes as a chance to experiment a little with styles and ideas so with that in mind here's Unicorn girl in the style of Shane Glines! Inspired in part by the Unicorn man (I'll leave you to look that one up yourselves)

Lagann Impact

Yoko from Gurren Lagann. A seriously awesome animated series.

I actually did the linework for this one a while ago but at the time I'd lost the drive to color it. Going through some folders i found it again and felt like having a go at it.

"Don't forget. Believe in yourself! Not you, who i believe in. Not me, who believes in you. Believe in you.. who believes in himself!"

If you have'nt seen this series go watch it...NOW!

New Blog?

Hey there,

Just a heads up on a new blog I'm contributing too.
http://sketchingafterwork.blogspot.com/

It's a group of fellow animators from the studio I'm working at. We've decided to get together and attack a theme every week so I should have some new stuff there (hopefully once a week :P).

Commander

And...we're back.

Life got busy for a bit so I haven't much for time for drawing. I feel so rusty already.
Just some Femshep sketching to get back into the swing of things.
